    胡光伟香港理工大学人文学院副院长、人文学院英文及传意学系教授。他的研究兴趣包括学术读写、双语习得、学术(专门)用途英语、语言教育政策以及二语学习和使用心理学。已发表150多篇期刊文章和书籍章节。他最近共同编辑的著作是Cultural knowledge and values in English language teaching materials: (Multimodal) representations and stakeholders(2022,Springer)。他目前担任Journal of English for Academic Purposes联合主编,以及多个国际期刊的编委会成员,包括Accountability in Research, Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, English for Specific Purposes, Iberica, Journal of English for Research Publication Purposes, and Language, Culture and Curriculum.

Machin, David

Shanghai International Studies University


    David Machin is an internationally established scholar working in the fields of Critical Discourse Analysis and Multimodality who joined the lnstitute of Corpus Studies and Applications at Shanghai International Studies University in 2022. In his widely referenced books How to do Critical Discourse Analysis (2012), Doing Visual Analysis (2018) and Introduction To Multimodal Analysis (2020) he has provided a number resources and guides for the multimodal analysis, which he uses in his own teaching. He has also published many papers in peer review journals using these for his own research projects. The most recent of these have involved studying the nature of chains of administrative and performance management documents in schools showing how these involve a reshaping of former priorities as defined by teachers.  Also, he has been working on a project to look at how food marketing represents the idea of healthiness and a healthy diet, shaping these for the purposes of selling products to different target groups. David Machin is co-editor of the peer reviewed Taylor & Francis journal Social Semiotics, which publishes papers in the wider field of discourse and critical multimodal studies, and the Bloomsbury books series Advances in Critical Discourse Studies.









Hafner, Christoph

    Christoph Hafner's principal research interests include English language teaching and learning, legal English and digital literacies. In particular, he is interested in studying how new technologies can be utilised to support the development of both ‘traditional’ domain-specific literacies (e.g. English for Law), and the ‘digital literacies’ which are necessary to exploit the potential of digital media. He has co-authored a book (with Rodney H. Jones) entitled Understanding Digital Literacies: A practical introduction (Routledge, 2012). He is principal investigator in an ongoing action research project, which investigates academic literacy in the Hong Kong context (project website here). Most recently, this project has examined university students' use of digital video to create multimedia scientific documentaries in the context of a course in English for Science. He currently teaches courses in English for Specific Purposes, Writing for New Media and Language in Law and Crime.

   Professor LEE, Fung King Jackie (李凤琼教授), 语言学及现代语言系教授(实践)。李凤琼教授于香港大学取得文学士学位及学位教师教育证书。毕业后,她于英华书院担任教师,后负笈澳洲进修,取得新南威尔斯大学教育硕士、文学硕士及语言学博士学位。李教授的教学经验广泛而丰富,曾任教副学士、学士及研究生课程,范畴涵盖英语文法、英语系统、英语教学法、学术写作及专门用途英语等 。李教授在加入香港教育大学(教大)前,任职于香港城市大学及香港浸会大学。她现为教大人文学院副院长(本科课程),曾担任语言学及现代语言学系系主任及副系主任、前英文系副系主任、语文研究荣誉文学士课程主任、学位教师教育文凭课程学校体验统筹主任及沉浸课程统筹主任。李教授的研究主要探讨语文与性别、英语教育、教科书研究、教师教育及语料库文法教学。她曾于各知名期刊发表大量学术文章,包括:《Gender and Education》、《Journal of Education for Teaching》、《 Linguistics and Education》、《Pedagogy, Culture and Society》、《Sexuality & Culture》、《Sex Roles》及《World Englishes》。李教授亦于二零一三及二零一七年,担任日本名城大学访问学人;其研究获得多项拨款,包括优配研究金及知识转移基金等。部分项目可参阅网页:Gender and Children’s Literature、Teaching Grammar and Readers、Build Positive Values and Cultural Awareness with Children’s E-books及The Corpus-aided Platform for Language Teachers。李教授于教育领域获得多个奖项,包括:2020 Esperanto ‘Access to Language Education’ Award、二零一九年日内瓦国际发明展银奖,以及二零一二至一三年度人文学院杰出教学奖。她亦为香港考试及评核局、教育局及质素保证局委员会及小组担任委员职务。

Sah, Pramod K.

    Dr. Pramod K. Sah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. He also holds an Honorary Norham Fellow position at the Department of Education, University of Oxford. Before joining EduHK, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary’s Werklund School of Education. He serves as an Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Education, Language, and Ideology. His primary scholarly focus is investigating how colonial and liberal ideologies in language policy and practices create educational, socioeconomic, and socioemotional disparities among diverse students. The central goal of his research is to conceptualize anti-oppressive and asset-based alternatives for pedagogies (e.g., linguistically and culturally sustaining pedagogies and critical translanguaging), research, and policies.

Tai, Kevin W.H.

    Professor Kevin W. H. Tai is Assistant Professor of English Language Education and Co-Director of the Centre for Advancement in Inclusive and Special Education (CAISE) at the Faculty of Education in The University of Hong Kong. Additionally, he is Honorary Research Fellow at IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society in University College London (UCL). He was recently awarded the RGC Early Career Award (ECA) in 2023/24 from the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong and the Faculty Early Career Research Output Award from the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong for recognising his excellent achievements in research. In relation to his editorial positions, Kevin Tai is Editor of The Language Learning Journal (ESCI-listed Journal; Routledge), Assistant Editor of the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism (SSCI-listed Journal; Routledge) and Managing Guest Editor of Learning and Instruction (SSCI-listed Journal; Elsevier). His research interests include: language education policy, classroom discourse, translanguaging in multilingual contexts and qualitative research methods (particularly Multimodal Conversation Analysis, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis and Linguistic Ethnography). Kevin Tai is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
